Turnsheets
A Turnsheet details what you would like to do in downtime after session and after IC emails have taken place. In Emporium, we are giving players one major action per turn. This major action will receive a write up by one of the GMs, taking place over a season.

Work Report (Employee Only)
Session Report
IC Account: I began my shift by assisting in repairs on a customer, Unerring Gravity Towards the Asymptote, repairing some damage that she had received on her brass carapace, and allowing her to continue shopping. I then proceeded to answer customer questions in the Empty Vessel. Finally, I went on my assigned shift/Excursion to clean the Store's rafters, where I recovered several items of stolen merchandise that I returned to their locations in the Store.
OC - is this true? Mostly true - my repairs on Unerring Gravity were mostly cosmetic, and I mostly chatted with Her Lunar Radiance about our plans rather than working in the Empty Vessel. I did a great job on my Excursion Shift, though! Just neglected to include any mention of the Orb in my report.
Major Action Justification
Describe how what you are doing contributes to your assigned shift and/or the store in general. Please keep it to one sentence.
I want to make sure that orb isn't a threat to Emporium!
Aim
One or two sentences on what you'd like to achieve: I want to investigate the Mysterious Orb I found on the Excursion last session. What’s the deal with Mysterious Orbs? 🤷
Details/Plan
Bullet points on how you plan to do this, any private plans if this is a group action and possible contingencies. Please try and keep this brief but clear. It would also be useful to list these in chronological order, and bolding key points.
Last session, we recovered a Mysterious Orb from amid the eggs in the nest high up in the rafters of Emporium. I’d be keen to learn what it is - if it poses a threat, if it’s valuable, if it’s linked to the Golden Cryptid we heard about on the store bulletin the other day, and if I can get anything of value from it. Hatch it, maybe?
I’d like to start by finding an out-of-the-way supply closet to enact my plan in, where we’re unlikely to be disturbed. Then, I’d like to carry out the following plans in order of how risky they are:
- Use my access to the employee-only store inventory catalogue to see if there are any entries for Mysterious Golden Orbs.
- Use my Magnifying Glass Head and precision engraving tools to examine the surface of the Orb more closely. Does it look organic? Mechanical? Mathematically perfect in some way?
- Attempt to crack the Orb’s surface by concentrating the light shining from my friend, Her Lunar Radiance, onto the weakest-looking bit of the Orb, using my Magnifying Glass Head.
- If whatever emerges from the Orb is dangerous, I want to run away …
- … but I don’t trust Her Lunar Radiance. I want to secretly keep an eye out for any attempts she makes to steal the Orb, and, if I can, steal it first.
Relevant Skills/Quirks/Items
List the skills and tier of the skill that would be relevant to this action, as well as Quirks related to the action. If you do not let us know, we may not assume you have the skill to execute the action.
- Treasures of the Janitor + employee status to secure a cupboard where I’m unlikely to be disturbed.
- Head: Magnifying Glass + Paraphenalia: precision engraving tools to investigate the surface of the Orb.
- Head: Magnifying Glass to focus Her Lunar Radiance’s light onto its surface, to burn our way in.
- Incarnation Blues - I’ll have to work around my difficulties in manipulating objects.
Other players/NPCs involved
Who else is involved in this action?
- Her Lunar Radiance, the extremely glow-y Glory (PC)
Minor Actions
Here you can detail any small notable actions you perform in downtime; note that you will have a relatively small impact in any actions that you minor and will receive no more than a sentence of write up for them, except in rare cases where your Quirks are active.
- Purchase some fancy beachwear.
- Rest my glass lens eye with some sleep (as per the Somniac Quirk).
- Check the SoulCoin prices on the four-dimensional prisms I was looking at.
GM Comments
This is a good action, with a clearly laid out plan (with bullet points!), applicable Quirks and aspects, and a pretty good indication of just how risky the character wants to be. Additionally, the GM processing this turnsheet notes that the character is a custodian for their Homeplane's world-museum, and has pursued several similar issues beforehand, meaning that they are likely to gain some insight into the geometric carvings in the Orb's surface. Her Lunar Radiance is helping, but only offered a minor action to provide her Light as described here; it will help this character's use of the Magnifying Glass Head, but she won't be of much more use. As such, this action is likely to be largely successful.
At the same time, there are several risks in the plan. The GMs were tempted to have the pair be interrupted while they worked - the supply cupboards aren't entirely secure, and they've been seen using them before - but decide that the Orb, and this character's admitted clumsiness and mistrust of Her Lunar Radiance, offer a more exciting outcome. This character has the Incarnation Blues Quirk (a mechanical effect) and a habit of mistrusting HLR (a narrative justification for the effect). The GMs decide that, while keeping their companion in their peripheral vision, the character's Incarnation Blues kick in, leading to them fumbling the Orb at a crucial moment. It begins to fall, splitting open, pure white light emerging from inside as it accelerates towards the linoleum floor -
Since this character specifically noted that they were being cautious, they scarper quickly, and whatever destructive radiance was inside the Orb doesn't affect them. Their well-put-together plan mean that they now have a wealth of Orb-lore, and insight into mysterious creatures of the Store, but weren't present to either get hurt by whatever emerged from the Orb, or take direct possession of it. Go big or go home - this character went home, but will definitely live to see another day.
